RIP Laurie. 😢
Was my favorite band in 1989
I loved this band. I use the see them all the time in Albany NY. Wish their music was on Apple Music.
Tommy was so young he was still in a onesie.
Rest in peace Laurie
Rest in Peace Laurie
R.I.P. Laurie Lindeen - I’m glad I got to see your band twice in New Haven, Connecticut in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s.
Just discovered the band via Laurie’s obituary 😢 and very sorry to hear
Rest in Power Laurie 🙏🏼
RIP sweet girl
RIP Laurie
I'm listening to Chan play this live at the Lori and Julia (radio show) finale. For 22 years, it was the radio show's theme show. Thanks Chan and Lori and Julia!
god i love the mats
i was there
jules dapper theme
Dr. Demento brought me here
This gets better and better every time I see it. Tommy was probably like 15? I've been to the entry probably 50 times and I ended up meeting Tommy a few times in the later days. Just a really nice guy. Very gracious and dug talking about music.
Both of these guys are playing guitars with no neck pickup?
Love this!😊
If they only had a decent vocalist.
similar to early soul asylum and dave pirner's voice and his looks
KIDS WONT FUCKING FOLLOW
Sorry ma i forgot to take out the trash (again)
R.i.p Minneapolis. The good old days are gone.
Bass player Tommy Stinson was 15 years old here!
I've had a crush on Coleen Elwood ever since I saw this video in the early 90s. I still do.
IM OLD AS FUC, i was there for this show
Incredible!! I miss bar bands like this
The B side was great too. Revenge?
Should have been their greatest hit instead of Runaway Train. It's so good.
forgot how good the early stuff was .... more into their latter stuff , hootenanny, pleased..,let it be, and beyond... saw westerberg on the stereo/mono tour in dallas at the bomb factory ... only 20 people there ..... wtf ??? saw the reunion Mats show Paul , Tommy and Josh Freise on drums at Riot fest in Chicago , f@cking packed and everyone in the crowd knew the words ... love these guys ... and Slim
Saw the ‘Burbs more time than I could count. One of the best live shows ever - incredible energy.
One of the greatest rock 'n' roll bands in history, thems just facts. The gear nerd in me digs Paul's Gibson, the Traynor, Sunn and Acoustic amps and Bob's custom Telecaster. Props also to Mars for keeping it very real back there. Legends!
Punks that could play and perform without being intoxicated beyond basic human function.
Thus is GREAT‼️❤️🔥🎸
43 years ago I was about 12 years old and I heard this song and I knew I belonged thank you rock gods the suburbs my favorite band watch at first avenue
I was a huge fan… even rocked the bangs for a couple years.
pretty good
Minneapolis sucks now but at least we had....THIS!
Hey, they're not totally shitfaced.
Linda the Pitmonster on skins
Tommy looks like a tween...lol.
He was only 15 here
when they take off their hoods...
Is it grunge..pls also post queer desparate living
Saw ‘em in ‘85 at Amelia’s in Iowa City. This ‘81 show at 7th Street Entry was better! 🔥 The irony of “Johnny’s gonna die“ (written about Johnny Thunders) and Bob’s eventual fate is chilling.
Damn good sound recording in 1981! Tommy just a baby!
My band played there before, it is a tiny stage.
Strange that Tommy doesn't say anything here
When people ask you where to start with The Replacements, just link to this video.
This is the maybe the best thing I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen it 20,000 times.
🔥
I've seen the videos but I'm listening to it on decent monitors and it sounds awesome.
